emerge-default-last-directories

emerge-default-last-directories is a variable defined in `emerge.el'.
Its value is

nil

Documentation:
If nil, default dir for filenames in emerge is `default-directory'.
If non-nil, filenames complete in the directory of the last argument of the
same type to an `emerge-files...' command.

You can customize this variable.
