desktop-path is a variable defined in `desktop.el'.
Its value is

("~/.emacs.d/" "~")

Documentation:
List of directories to search for the desktop file.
The base name of the file is specified in `desktop-base-file-name'.

You can customize this variable.

This variable was introduced, or its default value was changed, in version 23.2 of Emacs.
