desktop-missing-file-warning is a variable defined in `desktop.el'.
Its value is

Documentation:
If non-nil, offer to recreate the buffer of a deleted file.
Also pause for a moment to display message about errors signaled in
`desktop-buffer-mode-handlers'.

If nil, just print error messages in the message buffer.

You can customize this variable.

This variable was introduced, or its default value was changed, in version 22.1 of Emacs.
