auto-save-timeout

auto-save-timeout is a variable defined in `C source code'.
Its value is

30

Documentation:
Number of seconds idle time before auto-save.
Zero or nil means disable auto-saving due to idleness.
After auto-saving due to this many seconds of idle time,
Emacs also does a garbage collection if that seems to be warranted.

You can customize this variable.
