locate-update-when-revert

locate-update-when-revert is a variable defined in `locate.el'.
Its value is

nil

Documentation:
This option affects how the *Locate* buffer gets reverted.
If non-nil, offer to update the locate database when reverting that buffer.
(Normally, you need to have root privileges for this to work. See the
option `locate-update-path'.)
If nil, reverting does not update the locate database.

You can customize this variable.

This variable was introduced, or its default value was changed, in version 22.1 of Emacs.
